I was suitably chastised after my barefoot capers and had decided to run easy today. 6k with no agenda except to complete it and I was in for a surprise.

Turns out I ran at a reasonably decent pace although it felt like I was going very slow. After the run, there was a little tenderness but it was minimal. The foot seems ok and looks like there is no lasting damage. So, while the original plan stays for the week, I will take it as it comes, one run at a time and scale down if need be. Nothing like a real possibility of loss to bring perspective.

I may be a solo runner but the blogosphere has been an invisible support network. A heartfelt thank you for all the sound advice, encouragement and interesting exchange of thoughts.
