I had a happy run today, alone and free. I love to run by myself- I enjoy the trees, the birds, the funny shaped dog poop, the eccentric old man who has a quirky smile and the sheer joy of being able to run. As my feet hit the road, I just feel so grateful that I run.

“Happy” – I like the song. I don’t know if it’s the lyrics or the tune but there’s something in there that expresses my sense of wonder and freedom.

Today was a good run, I’ve just been on a high all day. I ran almost the same route that I ran yesterday and it was enjoyable today while it was agonizing yesterday. Same runner, same route, different day to change perspective. More or less like life.
